2008 Footy Pools Rules & Instructions

1. COST

•  FREE Subscription

2. WEEKLY COMPETITION

• The Weekly round winner will be decided from the main eight game ballot with a designated match of the round requiring the correct winning margin
• The match of the round will be the FIRST match played or as listed on the distributed "Fixtures/Results Sheet"
• A draw cannot be selected.  One team must be chosen. If a draw occurs, it is counted as a loss
• The weekly prize will be $100.  This will be paid to the competitor who firstly selects the most winning teams and who is closest to selecting the winning margin in the match of the round
• The weekly prize will be shared between competitors with identical selections and winning margin, and will not jackpot
• For LATE and non-lodgement of weekly entries, those competitors will be given the away game for that round
• The organiser's decision will be final in all matters.

3. TIPSTER OF THE YEAR

• The tipster of the year and place getters will be decided throughout the 22-week season with the tipster with the most weekly winners being the overall winner and TIPSTER OF THE YEAR.

4. KNOCK-OUT COMPETITION

• Incorporated in your weekly tips will be a separate "knock-out" selection.  All you have to do is, commencing in Round One, select one team only which you believe is a certainty to win (a drawn match for the purposes of the knock-out competition is counted as a loss) in that round of matches
• If you are correct, you can do the same again next round
• You can only continue selecting knock-out tips as long as you were correct in the previous week
• You may choose a different team each week, or the same team
• Once you select a Non winning or Drawn match, you are eliminated from the knock-out competition
• REMEMBER, if you are eliminated from the knock-out competition (i.e. you select a non winning or drawn team), you are NOT eliminated from the weekly tipping competition
• The person remaining at the end of the minor round or longest throughout the minor round collects the knock-out prize.
• If there are joint leaders at the end of the minor round, these competitors continue their selections into the finals until only one person remains
• For non and late lodgement of the knock-out competition, competitors/tipsters will be eliminated from the competition
• The Organisers decision and rulings will be FINAL

5. WEEKLY AND KNOCK-OUT SELECTIONS

• All selections must be entered via the website when entering your weekly tips, no later then 5.30pm Adelaide time
• Alternatively if you can not access the web please contact or fax your selection to David Ciccolella
